Expanded States of Awareness Integration Group

There is a shift underway in the field of mental health that is moving away from traditional treatment models to more holistic ones that recognize the healing and transformative potential of expanded states of awareness.  Whether this approach comes from psychedelic journeys, breathwork, mindfulness meditation, or somatic therapy, it is important to be able to integrate these experiences in order to create lasting mental health and wellness.

In this four-week group, we explore the meaning of integration and how to catalyze change. Participants will have an opportunity to learn and grow through somatic exercises, guided meditations, as well as writing and listening exercises, with time to discuss and share ideas.

When: Summer 2024
Time: 7:00pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Online

Week 1

Exploring why expanded states of awareness can be healing

We will look at the nature of the psyche and consciousness to understand why experiencing expanded states of awareness is an integral part of the human experience.

Week 2

Understanding what is meant by integration

We will explore what healing is in mental health and how we can meet what is asked of us once we open ourselves to transformation.

Week 3

Catalyzing and maintaining lasting change through a somatic lens

The somatic experience is where integration becomes a process that brings us back to making practical choices to live our best lives.

Week 4

Recognizing the potential to deepen a spiritual path

We will recognize and become curious about the human experience and its connection to the transcendent.

This group is intended to be inclusive of all transformational experiences and not limited to those exploring psychedelics or seeking spiritual experiences. The group is trauma informed and will explore how to listen to our somatic way of knowing as the core language of healing.

This will be a safe, non-judgemental space where people can openly share their experiences or perspectives about plant medicines, but we will not be providing any advice or professional guidance around safe and responsible use of sacred and/or prescribed medicines. The focus is on integration and understanding the pathway of transformation and somatic awareness for healing in mental health.
