Kate Carroll (she/her)
MSW, RSW
Welcome!
I believe that people don’t need to have everything figured out to begin, we can start from wherever someone finds themselves and work together from there.
My work is grounded in a relational, strength-based, and trauma-informed approaches. I am particularly interested in how patterns of stress, regulation, and connection are shaped by the brain and body, and how mind-body approaches can support lasting change.
I am currently completing a postgraduate internship at New Pathways in partnership with the Neurofeedback Advocacy Project (NAP), where I am training in neurofeedback and deepening my work in psychotherapy and trauma healing.
“My approach is informed by my Ukrainian-Indigenous upbringing, which shapes my understanding of wellbeing as relational, holistic, and rooted in community. ”
My Background
My approach is informed by my Ukrainian-Indigenous upbringing, which shapes my understanding of wellbeing as relational, holistic, and rooted in community. I value integrating mind, body, and spirit in ways that feel meaningful, respectful, and culturally responsive.
I bring nearly five years of experience working within an urban Indigenous community, with knowledge of navigating intergenerational trauma, systemic barriers, and complex life circumstances. My work is grounded in relational accountability, collaboration, and a deep respect for community knowledge and lived experience. I warmly welcome Indigenous community members to connect.
I also bring five years of experience in community-based youth work, where I supported youth navigating trauma, neurodivergence, and complex emotional experiences. Working in dynamic environments shaped my ability to help attune and support people’s individual and unique needs. This experience continues to inform my work today.
A martial arts instructor whose graduate research explored the role of martial arts in trauma recovery for women, I bring a depth of experience supporting youth and adults, navigating neurodivergence and complex emotional experiences.
I look forward to working with you!
