Mindful Awareness Stabilization Training
This 4-week mindfulness group is designed to support emotion regulation through short, practical practices that can be integrated into daily life. Rooted in a trauma-informed approach, the group offers a gentle and accessible way to build awareness of the nervous system, increase resilience, and develop tools for managing stress, overwhelm, and emotional reactivity.
Held in person at New Pathways’ Third Space in Toronto, this group combines evidence-informed mindfulness with an embodied, relational approach to healing.
Date: Tuesdays, July 21 to August 11
Time: 5:30 pm to 7 pm
Location: In person, New Pathways Third Space, 720 Spadina Avenue, Toronto
Cost: $250
Participants will receive a link to the MAST materials including handouts and guided meditations.
Facilitated by:
Rachael Frankford is a registered social worker and somatic psychotherapist based in Toronto. She is the founder of New Pathways, where her work integrates mindfulness, trauma-informed psychotherapy, and nervous system regulation. Rachael’s personal mindfulness practice began in Zen Buddhism and has informed over two decades of clinical work in mental health settings. She is the creator of the MAST Program (Mindful Awareness Stabilization Training), a trauma-informed mindfulness approach used in frontline mental health environments. In her facilitation of MBCT, Rachael brings a grounded, experiential, and compassionate approach that supports participants in building resilience through embodied awareness and cognitive skill development
Celina Carter is a nurse psychotherapist with a deep grounding in mindfulness and compassionate, trauma-informed care. She brings a calm, steady presence to her work, helping people relate to their thoughts, emotions, and body with greater awareness and ease. In the MAST program, she guides simple, accessible practices that support emotion regulation and everyday resilience.
